According to a survey conducted by Finanice Weekly, there are five factors attracting young generation.

- Diversity: a host of options available to satisfy their needs and demands; Facing countless choices, they will become satisfied with the freedom entitled by the city they live in. Cinemas and restaurants allow them to enjoy the entertainment and cusine, home and abroad, although they are concerned about the increased property price.

- Openess: an open city tends to hug exotic culture. This can exemplified by a foreign drink - coffee. It is amazing that there are as many as 4509 coffee shops in Shanghai, dominating other counterparts such as Guangzhou and Beijing. It may be argued that the coffee culture can also be related to the innovation which is inspired in a relaxing environment like cafe, but such sub-culture can reveal their not being consevative to overseas invasion. Besides, another perimeter is the number of graduates who have finished their higher education overseas.

- Efficiency: high level of transport and communication in urban areas has domonstrated their efficiency to some extent. The extensive coverage of subways in a motropolis has facilitated commuters to work remotely.

- Convenience is equal to comfort, which tends to arouses a sense of happiness. Young people view this as an indicator of happiness because they can easily buy what they need from a corner convenience shop like 7-11 franchise business, while online shopping access can also contribute satisfaction to them.
