I wish you had settled down and excited about the early spring in Australia while your families are still in a hot summer.


Today we're going to study some Austrlian slangs, so that you can quickly understand locals. What is a slang? It actually means very informal language but common in speech rather than in writing.


  1. Aussie: Australian

  2. Down-under: Australia or New Zealand in Southern hemisphere

3. fair dicum: true

4. good onya: well done! (ya= you)

5. heaps: a lot

6. G'day: hello (G =good)

7. guys: boys or girls

8. exy: expensive

9. hello mate: hello, my friend\my classmate\my colleague

10. ankle biter: child\kid
