【一】移民与教育：

Immigrants and education

Schools are one of the first environments newly arrived migrants find themselves in a new country. Adults often need to undertake language classes to improve their language skills so that they can find a job, or they might need to undertake further studies to et their overseas skills recognized.

Children often start with learning the local language an then join mainstream schools to continue their education. Often their language skills improve quickly. However, their parents may find their language skills are not adequate to deal with school administration and teaching staff.
