位于南京市中心繁华地区，临近新街口的金鹰国际是一栋外立面像素化的塔楼，总高220米。这座综合体建筑包含了一家十层楼的百货商店、商务酒吧、办公以及一家五星级酒店。建筑的西侧有一个小广场，为一系列的历史建筑提供了场地。所有的车行通道均布置在建筑的背面，保证了主要沿街界面的连贯及人行流线的通畅。
Golden Eagle International Center Phase3 (GEI) is a pixelated tower located in a busy retail area in central Nanjing, 220 mtotal height. close to the Xin jie kou intersection. This mixed use development contains a ten storey department store, business club, offices and a five-star hotel. The western side of thestructure includes a small plaza, providing an urban address to a series ofsmall-scale historic buildings. All vehicular access occurs to the rear of thesite, keeping the street clear for pedestrian movement.
在设计过程中，塔楼和群房以整体概念进行综合考虑。他们共同形成了一个层层退进和倾斜的建筑样式。庞大的建筑体量得到了合理地分解，超尺度的塔楼被打破，展现了不同的功能布置。
The project approachsought to develop the tower and podium as a single, coherent design concept.Both share a stepped or off-set display in their form, dissolving themonolithic reading, breaking down the overall scale of the tower and allowingexpression of its different functional components.
整个建筑体系共享了一个单一的立面系统，通过大面积的数码肌理进行视觉上的排列组合。外立面的纹理由不同深度的杆件组成，形成了一个巨大、统一的图案。这样形式的立面设计整合了建筑的所有需求，包括裙房的广告位以及橱窗展示等。而对于塔楼而言，立面通过不同深度的垂直杆件来表现，不仅实现了立面形式，也为室内空间提供了遮阳，改善环境。
The structures sharea single facade system which is visually ordered through a large-scaledigitally inspired pattern. The textural façade pattern is the result of varying fin depths, creating a largescale and unifying pattern across the building. This integrates all the required conditions includingpodium advertising signage and showcase windows. For the tower facade, thepattern is manifested through vertical fins of varying depth, creatingsignificant expression at the same time provide shading for internal space to improve the environmentalperformance.
室内设计与建筑的形体相比，则通过它的细节和空间组织来呈现——手工定制、真实且完整，传统空间得到全新诠释，给予客人独特的体验。豪华客房分布在15个楼层里，层高3.6米。标准间的大小从48平方米起。塔楼的中间层26层-28层主要是酒店的配套设施、泳池及健身会所，向公众开放，并且可以乘坐直达电梯达到，欣赏南京的城市全景。
In contrast with thebuilding volume, the quality of the hotel’s design expressed by its details andspatial organization; one that is handcrafted, genuine and complete concept;that allows guests to experience a journey of reinterpret traditional spaces. Luxury guest roomsare distributed in 15 floors with 3.6m floor-to-floor height. The standardrooms’ size starts from 48m². The middle floors on 26F-28F of the tower aremainly hotel hospitality facilities, swimming pool and health club, which areopened to the public and can be reached via the shuttle elevators to enjoy theexcellent Nanjing Panorama.
