Recently such changes have been imposed on both museums and art galleries as someone suggest that these places are no longer a necessity since computers entitle usto have access to historical objects and works of arts. However, this suggestionis impractical in most cases.

To begin with, visiting museums encourages a love of history. Museums are the caretakers of history as much as they offer connections to history thatcan easily be overlooked in traditional classrooms or on computers. Reading out the plaques in the museum motivates young visitors to ask questions thus encouraging a love of history.

Furthermore, when visiting art galleries students get to experience art outside of their screens. In a world where children spend over six hours a day glued to a screen, the importance of taking children to art galleries is pretty obvious. Galleries give students the opportunity to explore the textures of work of arts like painting up close, the drapery dangling off marble statues, and the scale of a large canvas.This puts art in a completely different perspective to viewing it on a phone or a laptop.

There are, however, several benefits for visiting digital museums or art galleries. Computers allow visitors to explore destinations beyond reach and resurrect places and cultures lost to time. Computers are able to transporting museum visitors to the places tocivilizations lost, and to cities destroyed by time. Computers can bring visitors to tours that museums cannot, for example, taking a trip to Mars.
