由澳大利亚LAB_尚墨墨尔本、上海、香港（CASAA）三地团队共同完成的大湾区南海里湖新城文化中心，将节能75%的混凝土空调实践用于图书馆少年宫演艺中心和展览馆、并通过被动式设计，将四馆合一。最终在国际竞赛中脱颖而出，并融合了文化艺术及社交空间，更大程度的开放邻里的城市活动，营造盛大的城市派对。
Co-designed by LAB Shanghai, LAB Melbourne and HK CASAA team, Nanhai Lihu New City Cultural Center located in the great bay area. The new cultural building uses a 75% of the energy-saving concrete air-conditioning system for its multifunctional spaces.LAB stood out in the international competition for architectural design of Nanhai Lihu, that the project integrates the Performing Arts Center, the Library, the Exhibition Hall and the Youth Activity Center into one building that blends cultural art and socialspaces with a great range of open-minded urban activities to create a grandcity party.
大湾区里湖文化中心这个项目不仅仅是一个普通的地标项目，更是如何解决新与旧，历史与现代，自然景观与城市化建筑尺度语言的对比之间的永恒张力的问题。该项目的核心是如何将过去的存在和价值与当代的潜力和现实相结合，并成为大湾区里湖区的一个有意义的场地。
This project is notonly an ordinary iconic project, but is a matter of how to resolve theeverlasting tension between the old and the new; the historic and the modern;natural landscape and urbanization yet, the contrast of architecture alscales,and languages. This project is centered on the question of how tosynthesize the presence and values of the past with the potentials andrealities of the contemporary. And becomes a meaningful venue of the Lihudistrict.

设计构思 云烟氤氲
CONCEPT DENSE MIST
该项目位于里湖的湿地内，为回应南方城市的温暖，充满活力和活跃的精神而设计。看似被河流流动雕刻而成,最终却成为船形建筑也意味着珠江流域的过去和印象的表达，建筑与自然和地形无缝融合。设计参考了周边地区的蜿蜒景观。由此产生的曲线立面和光滑的白色表面成为柔软和清晰的诗歌。旅程开始于过桥到里湖文化岛，起伏的建筑群包裹着一个大型的公共广场，在夏季，融入了绿色环境。
Lihu Cultural center is expected toaccommodate many different things happen simultaneously in the space design, toenhance interaction and communication between people. A rhythmic and legiblespace design that takes pedestrians from one node to another. Square arts,characteristic finishes, floating exhibition decks, etc. all provide the rhythmand continuity of the space experience. This space also becomes an interiorcentral plaza, we can call it “urban lounge” for the green park contains thepast and imagine the future.

FACADE CONCEPT
建筑形式由两部分组成：裙楼和本身。裙楼由玻璃墙覆盖,弯曲的混凝土顶面覆盖着水景和绿化。它由玻璃墙覆盖，创造出一种轻盈，将容纳展览功能。雕塑性的主体由三个悬臂式体积连接在一起，并突出到周围的城市、小丘和公园。建筑物由白色GRC三角形面板覆盖，并安装了光学装置。将容纳青少年中心，图书馆和表演大厅。光学装置是有深度的可操作的窗口，用于控制不同气候下的室内温度，同时为内部空间提供足够的自然漫射照明，并减少能量消耗和热量增加。每个功能都有自己的画框大窗朝向周围环境，这做法解释城市的开放性。大表演大厅的前厅空间由双层外壳和外部玻璃百叶窗围绕，从内部可以欣赏到城市和山脉的景色。这包含连接里外的重要愿景及与自然的深层联系。
The building form follows a two-part composition: a podium and a body. Thepodium is a bended con-crete surface with water and green landscape cov-ered.itcladded by glass wall create kind of light-ness will house the exhibitionfunctions. The sculptural main body consists of three canti-levered volumeslinked together and protruding to the surrounding city, hillocks, park, and theriv-er. The integrated volume cladded by white glaze painted GRC triangularpanels with light scope de-vice installed, houses the youth center, library,and performance halls. The light scopes in fact is oper-able window to controlthe indoor temperature in different climate, at the same time providessuffi-cient natural diffused illumination to the spaces on the interior and lightreduce the energy consump-tion and heat gain. Each function will have its ownpicture frame win-dow toward the surrounding environment, explain the opennessof the city. The Grand performance Hall’s pre-function space is enclosed by adouble-skin with exterior glass louvers, allowing views of the city andmountain from inside. 南海里湖新城文化中心创造出两大核心：一个充满活力的聚集区文化中心，另一个是高效优美的开放空间。结合河岸现状在水乡空间里进行延伸。突出地域特色并运用生态策略提高建筑与环境的融合。更是营造“里水”的氛围，打造“里水”的品牌。
建立智能型、以多样化文化生活带来一系列功能，如‘创意空间’、“文化广场”、“庆典广场”等具有创造性地人群+良好的环境+城市设计+社会空间=多样化创意社区。
The Nanhai Lihu NewTown Cultural Center has created two cores: a vibrant cultural center andanother efficient and beautiful open space. Combined with the status quo of theriver bank, it extends in the water town space. Highlighting the regionalcharacteristics and using ecological strategies to improve the integration ofarchitecture and the environment.
