Green Square 绿色广场介绍
The $13 billion Green Square redevelopment area is 278 hectares and includes thesuburbs of Beaconsfield and Zetland, and parts of Rosebery, Alexandria andWaterloo. It is 3.5 kilometres from the city centre and 4 kilometres from the airport.
About 5,700new homes have been built since 2000, bringing in close to 11,000 moreresidents. By 2030, Green Square is expected to attract 40,000 new residentsand 22,000 new workers.
Green Squaretown centre will be the heart of the project. The new retail, cultural and commercialhub will centre around the Green Square train station. Along with privatedevelopment will be high quality community facilities. A stunning undergroundlibrary and outdoor plaza will become an ‘urban living room’ for theGreen Square community, providing spaces to work, socialise and connect.

A new 6,500 squaremetre park will be built in the town centre, named the ‘Drying Green’, while a largerpark of 15,500 square metres will be in the Epsom Park precinct in Zetland andother parks will be created across the area.
A newcommunity creativity hub will be created on the old hospital site on JoyntonAvenue, cleverly reusing heritage buildings for artist studios, rehearsalspaces, exhibition areas and a community shed. On the same site will beaffordable housing, a community health centre and a childcare centre.
A new healthand recreation centre will be built in the Epsom Park precinct on JoyntonAvenue. It will include four pools and a multi-purpose outdoor sports field.

Green Square Water is aprivate local sustainable water utility. We harvest and purify 900 kL ofstormwater every day at full capacity - the equivalent of 150 Olympic swimmingpools of stormwater every year.
We reusea wasted resource on site helping to protect the local ecology and preventlarge quantities of polluted wastewater from entering our waterways and oceanscausing further pollution.

Green Square Water harvests stormwater passing through the Green Square precinct.This water is on its way out to the sea - when it hits the outfall it won’t bepurified or treated just released causing environmental degradation.
Green Square Water is ensuring this water is reused, capturing three tonnes ofpollutants annually that would otherwise end up in our waterways.

Itenters a network of stormwater drains where it makes its way to the GreenSquare precinct. Green Square Water has a network of decentralised water pipeswhich capture this water and take it back to the local recycled water Centre inthe heart of the Green Square community.
