Speaking of a teacher, I want to talk about Vanessa, my high school English teacher. She is from the UK.

She is of medium build and medium height. She is a very charming teacher: curly blonde hair, big blue eyes and sweetest smile that can melt everything. Instead of being empty shell, she is gorgeous inside and out. She definitely has what it takes to be a great teacher: easy-going, knowledgeable, conscientious (a. 尽责的)，thoughtful and humorous. She is not one of those teachers who always force us to learn. Instead, she always inspires us to learn so that we are always willing to show our initiative and passion no matter what we do.

In my second year of high school, I got the second award in an English competition, but I still felt extremely disappointed, mainly because I had been trying really hard to get the first award. You know, it was like that something you had wanted so bad, and when it was so close to you, bam, became so far away. I got very frustrated with myself. After the competition, Vanessa said to me,” Sweetie, I know that you are not in the mood of any pep talk now, but I just want you to know that you might not be the most shining star today, but you will be some day as long as you don’t quit. The rule that lasts forever is that giving it a shot might not make you a winner, but giving it up will definitely make you a loser! Seriously, I learned a lot from these words. Until today, I still remember these words, every single word. These words mean a lot to me. Vanessa is my best teacher, a teacher who can always give me the most sincere words when I am in need.
