Although more and more people read the news on the Internet, newspapers are still the most important source of news for the majority of people.

To what extent do you agree or disagree

报纸不在是新闻主要来源的理由：

Newspapers are easily available source of information which has been a practice since time immemorial, and it is believed to be of great importance in both modern and past times, potentially future as well for it updates its readers on various running issues and news all across the world. However, as technology continues to take over the reins of media, newspapers are fast becoming obsolete due primarily to their limitations.

Newspaper is losing its ability to satisfy the news and information needs from world-wide readers in several ways. Firstly, news delivered through newspaper may be late. This point is, it takes time to write and review the stories, and the printing and the delivery of the paper to readers and subscribers usually are later than expected. However, in the current trend and fast moving getting a news the next day or in the evening is too late for a reader. Secondly, news published on newspapers tend to be concise. It has been a tradition of newspaper companies to be simple and clear about the stories they publish mainly because there is no available space for very long stories. The lack of both timeliness and integration drives many young readers away from newspapers.

Newspapers, however, cannot be replaced by the Internet yet. Even though the line between newspaper news and the internet news is getting more and more blurred, as paper publications are creating digital versions and properties, newspapers are still regarded as one of the best source for news among several age-groups and occasions. For aged people, these printed media build their reputations with the least amount of bias. For a long-time flight journey where the internet is not available, they have consistent coverage to help travelers they serve kill time.

In conclusion, physical newspapers are losing its advantages to fulfil information and news demands from readers in contemporary society. As a reader, I will group newspapers with their digital properties for the purposes of this question.
