Dean Frenkel
比如“t”(impordant)、“l”(Austraya),并且为了省事,还会将一些元音转换成其他的元音,比如把“a”换成“e”(stending)、把“a”换成“i”(New South Wyles)、把“i”换成“oi”(noight)。
Dr Pensalfini - who received his PhD in theoretical linguistics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - was quick to dismiss that theory was rubbish.‘I don’t think you’d find a linguist anywhere in Australia or the world who would agree with you,’ he said.Dr Pensalfini said the Australian accent was ‘essentially the London accent of the time, with a strong influence of Irish as well’.He said there had always been ‘folk theories’ floating around about the origins of the Australian accent, all of which were unfounded.‘The other one I heard is that Australians keep their mouths close so the flies can’t get in,’ he said, adding, ‘I’ve also heard in the U.S., people in Texas drawl so the dust can’t get in.’
dismiss:to discard or reject; put aside from consideration: to dismiss a story as rumor.拒绝,不再考虑drawl:lengthen and slow down or draw out慢吞吞,懒洋洋地说
