Our team
Our specialist Tax team led by eight Partners, work together to provide effective solutions and expertise to our clients with experience in Corporate & International Tax, Private Business Tax Consulting, Employment Taxes, R&D Tax and Transfer Pricing.
Due to continued growth, our Research & Development (R&D) Tax and Government Incentives team, specialists within our Tax Consulting team, are seeking a Graduate to learn and grow with them to complement their existing capability.
An opportunity to make a difference
As a graduate in the R&D Tax and Government Incentives team, you will participate in client meetings to gain an understanding of the projects being undertaken, prepare written documents describing clients’ activities and business, prepare work papers to calculate or assess eligible costs, prepare applications for government funding, analyse client-provided information to determine eligibility for government funding and liaise with both finance and technical staff to collate the relevant information and build long term relationships.
This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, nationally and across many industries including agri-business, life sciences, manufacturing, transport and logistics, property and construction, Energy & Resources, engineering and IT.
Your proven track record
You will have recently completed tertiary qualifications and are ready for commencement in November 2017, or are due to complete tertiary qualifications by the end of 2017. Ideally we are looking for graduates with qualifications in the following disciplines; law, science, politics/government relations, economics and/or relevant industry experience.
With a real passion for working closely with clients and people, you will demonstrate the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders and possess superior communication skills with proven networking capability. Outstanding writing skills are essential, candidates with experience of technical writing (e.g. on matters of science, engineering and innovation) will be particularly well regarded. You will be confident in your ability to work on multiple assignments and deliver results under pressure. You will have a genuine interest in technology, manufacturing and innovation.
You are a team player and are at your best when building relationships and working with others. You are ready to grow and have a strong desire to learn. You participate in extracurricular activities such as part time work, community service, hobbies or travel.

About the role
Working collaboratively with another Receptionist, this role is responsible for ensuring each and every visitor has an exceptional welcome to ShineWing Australia whether it be face to face or over the phone.
The Receptionist plays a key role supporting wider teams with administration and works closely with the Translation Coordinator to deliver quality translations in English to Mandarin and Mandarin to English.
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with a can do attitude looking to work as an enthusiastic team member to assist the overall firm to achieve its objectives.
Responsibilities
• Meet and greet clients, manage room bookings, liaise with internal stakeholders, operate a busy switchboard
• Perform a range of internal and external translation services
• Coordinate the firms ingoing and outgoing mail
• Ensure the office and front-of-house is running smoothly
• Ad hoc administration support as required
Skills and experience
• Previous reception experience with a diverse administration role within a professional environment
• Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a positive professional impression and deliver superior client service
• NAATI qualified in English and Chinese, preferably with minimum level 3
• Confident in communicating and writing in both English and Mandarin Chinese, with strong attention to detail
• Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Willingness to learn new skills with ability to think quickly on feet
