When 通常使用在谈话时将要发生的时间或者状况
I plan to go travelling when I finish my studies. (我期待结束)
Give me a call when you arrive at the airport. (我们期待那个人到来)
If 通常用于假设的一种可能性，特别是在条件状语从句子中
I would only go home if it was a real emergency.
