LF：What is your view on innovation and entrepreneurship? 请谈一谈您对创新创业的看法?

M: Murdoch university is constantly wanting to encourage students to get involved in entrepreneurship because enterprise skill is one of which is they want to set up their business but also a skill for the future, skill for entrepreneurship, companies want people who have enterprise skills.

莫道克大学一直希望鼓励学生参与创业，因为创业技能是他们想要建立自己的企业的能力，也是未来必要的技能，每个企业都要想要拥有创业技能的人。

So we encourage our students to involve with a range of programs, entrepreneurship program, we also have social entrepreneurship program, we also run Pitch at Palace for Western Australia.

因此，我们鼓励我们的学生参与一系列创业计划，我们还有社交型的创业计划，我们还在西澳大利亚举行由英国皇室参与的"Pitch at Palace"创业投资活动。

We want students to be involved in these programs, because it allows them to test their ideas and thinking in the real world.

Murdoch University has an entrepreneur in residence, Jeremy Chatty, he works with the students to build their ideas into viable products which they can then use to engage with these programs then further develop their ideas.

LF: Your comment on Alpha Innovation Contest?

请谈谈您对Alpha创新创业大赛的看法？

M: Alpha Innovation Contest is good for our students, allows them to take their ideas from the point of their prototype and allows to go into a proper acceleration to deliver in particular China.

Alpha创新大赛对我们的学生有很大好处，能让他们从他们的产品原型中完善他们的创意，并帮他们这个创业梦想加速，尤其可能有在中国实现项目实施的机会。

Alpha Innovation Contest is really effective, in having students been able to get the point have their ideas can be commercialized and produced.

Alpha创新大赛是个非常有效的媒介，能让学生能够明白他们的想法可以商业化和产品生产。

Alpha Innovation Contest 2019 is now open, and we encourage students to involve with this as a way of launching their ideas and have them commercialized. You can leave Murdoch not only with a degree but with a viable business.
