【Donovan老师原创好文】如何在口语Part2时间没到就说完的情况下进行合理补充？,曼拓教育微信公众号文章

有的同学在雅思口语第二部分会遇到这样的问题，就是已经把答题卡上的四个小问题答完了但是考官并没有提示时间结束，或者偶尔会很直接的说‘keep going, talk more.’很多小伙伴这时候就慌了，该扯些什么呢？Donovan老师在这里给大家提供一些临时增加内容的常用思路，以及就不同的话题应该如何补充才能既不走题也有话可说。

首先是连接词。

要注意就算被考官逼着说也还是要有连接词引导补充的内容哦！上课的时候给大家提供的一些time buyers在这里就可以起到大作用：

1.In fact, as a matter of fact

这组time buyer在这样的情况下非常实用，几乎可以连接任何内容，同时也很自然。

2.To be honest, frankly speaking, from my point of view, as far as I’m concerned

这组在想以观点的方式来补充内容的时候比较实用，可以从个人感想的角度对之前的内容进行总结或者对以后的情况进行假设。

3.On top of that, in addition, what’s more is that, I would also like to mention that,

这组比较正统的additional连接词可以用来连接时间逻辑上后续内容的补充。补充的内容还是要符合coherence这个要求，即不能走题，同时和已经说过的内容要有时间逻辑的前后顺序，也就是不能回过头去补充已经说过的内容的细节。在不同的话题中有这些比较常见的思路可以选择：

Places:

对于已经去过的地点，可以补充之前去有什么遗憾，想下次去弥补。

Example

Describe a long journey you took.

To be honest, my trip to Cairns was not flawless. The weather was not ideal because 3 out of the 5 days were rainy, including the day I went to the Great Barrier Reef. Much have I enjoyed the journey but I will certainly grab another chance to visit that fascinating city again to see the beautiful coral reefs and marine lives in sunny days.

对于将来想去的地方，可以进行一些计划上的细节补充，比如季节，地点，活动，想一起去的人等等。

Example:

Describe a foreign city you would like to visit.

On top of that, I would like to visit Osaka specifically in winter. I’m a big fan of skiing, and I heard that there is a great snow mountain near Osaka which is great for skiers. Osaka is also famous for its hot springs so I will definitely pay it a visit after skiing. I can’t think of a better tour for relaxation.

Persons:

对于person类型的问题大体上可以根据喜欢的人和讨厌的人来额外补充一些个人的感想，比如以后如果碰到什么情况，就会以XXX为榜样/教训，让自己处理的更好。

Example:

Describe a fictional person you like.

In fact, if I ever run into a similar situation, I will try to calm myself like Charles did and try to figure out the most efficient way to solve the problem. Panic brings me nowhere. As I have learned from him, a good leader should never show negative attitude even in most difficult times. I hope to become a person like him in the future.

Objects:

物品类话题进行补充的面很广。根据物品类型不同，可以说以后想给朋友推荐这个物品，自己想要找回/购买这个物品，每次看到这个物品会带来什么感受等等。

Example:

Describe book you have recently read.

As I have already mentioned, Harry Potter is the one of the most educational and creative fictions I have read. Therefore I think I will read this book to my child if I have one in the future, so he or she could enjoy the intriguingplot like I did. In fact, I will recommend this series to all my friends as a perfect bed-side story. It might take years to read all of them though.

Event:

对于Event这种集大成者的话题类型，可以借鉴之前三种话题的思路，对事件牵涉的地点，人物或者物品进行补充。

Example:

Describe an occasion when you were not told the whole truth.

To be honest, if I were in my parents’ shoes at that time, I would probably make the same decision since I really don’t want to hurt my child’s feeling by telling him the truth. However I might try to minimize the damage by giving him optimistic thoughts, and try to cheer him up instead of just shedding tears.He is just a kid after all.
