雅思口语Part 3 要求大家‘talk in length’, 懂得discuss topic through various aspect，但很多同学由于对问题缺乏想法或回答时思路凌乱，导致回答简单，观点重复。本期文章将与大家分享如何找到问题中的突破口，整理思路。

例如这个题目：

Are people getting busier in recent years?

很多同学可能回答成这样：Yes , people are much busier, because they need to work harder，spent more time on work and have less time to relax. Therefore, they are more occupied.

上述回答更像part 1 的答案。首先因为简短，没有talk in length, 其次，没有从多个角度进行回答，第三，使用的词汇和句式简单。这些都不能符合part 3 的回答要求，不能达到7分。

要解决上述问题，对关键词进行展开就比较容易扩充思路了。

上述回答把people限定在工作的人这个角度，但题目中没有其他形容词对people进行其他修饰，在种情况下，大家可以大胆地对people进行定义细分，例如按照age group： young people, senior people，再细分一点： children, students, workers, retirees 等；按地域划分：people in the West/ Asia, people in developed/developing countries; 按性别：female/male等。

另外，in recent years, 可以结合近10年的社会背景来论述，例如Global financial crisis, European crisis, economic downturn等。

所以这题的回答可以扩展为：

Yes, people of all age groups are busier than before, especially after the Global Financial Crisis. Since the economic situation is not as promising as previous decades, employees need to work harder, extra hours or to have further study tomaintain their positions, and some people may have more than one job to afford the constant increasing living expense, so they are generally have longer working hours. Similarly, as the society is fast changing and competitive, students also occupied themselves by studying, doing volunteering or participating in internship to improve their overall employability and better prepare themselves for the future. As for the senior members, they are also getting busy. For those who have already retired, they may spend more time to help the younger generation with domestic affairs, such as taking care of young children. And senior workers may delay their retirement to accumulate funds to maintain their lifestyle for the retired life. Therefore, people of different age groups are indeed much busier than before.
