About the opportunity

In your role as a Financial Management Associate you’ll have major responsibilities/duties as follows:

  • Action ERP changes and highlight material ERP adjustments

  • Monitor provisions where applicable and notify the MA and SLFL

  • Approve client/account updates and consult with other functions of the business if necessary (QRM, GIS, SOMs)

  • Provide training and support on MMT, engagement economics, systems and processes

  • Assist with Cost to Complete

  • Provide support with opening of new codes, request MMT/BNPR to check and confirm appropriate planned measures

  • Support engagement pricing

  • Review all new codes on a daily/weekly basis

  • Provide assistance to Collections when no response from Debtors is received. The FMA is responsible for passing on updates from the client serving staff to Collections

  • Provide overview of finance tools & processes when required

  • Regularly monitor WIP, identify and follow up on high unbilled balances or at risk WIP. Escalate if required

  • Meet EP/engagement team monthly to discuss WIP, action requests and prompt engagement teams with set actions

  • Provide analytics and potential improvement opportunities for the engagements under your direct remit inc. leverage and margin improvement

  • Assist EP's with mid-year and YE certification. Communicate with SLFL / leaders / Certification team

  • Promote best engagement practice e.g. Advance billing, billing schedules etc

  • Ensure key stakeholders are kept informed on potential risks, issues and successful outcomes

  • Identify areas for improvement, discuss with relevant stakeholder(s)


About you

We’re looking for people with the following experience:

  • A Bachelor of Business or equivalent experience is desirable.

  • A TAFE Diploma in Accounting with a strong development orientation

  • A good understanding of the engagement management process

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer

  • A sound knowledge of local and global EY policies and procedures

  • Management accounting experience desirable but not essential

  • Reporting Analysis

  • Two years’ experience in a professional services environment in a financial/business capacity

  • Strong Communication skills
