Under the direction of the Managing Director, China and the Senior Business Development Manager, Travel Alberta, you’ll represent Travel Alberta at tradeshows and industry events and maintain strong relationships with key travel trade accounts, industry organizations, partners, and government stakeholders.
你的责任是：
The Business Development Manager supports business development activities for Travel Alberta in China that deliver on defined performance targets.
1. Establishing and maintaining relationships with key airline partners, travel trade, Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events (MICE) organizations and education segments within China.
2. Supporting the development of existing and new markets within China by growing distribution of Alberta’s experience offerings through third-party operators.
3. Identifying new business opportunities, negotiating and closing joint marketing agreements that strengthen Alberta’s competitive position in China.
4. Providing regular training to targeted accounts to broaden Alberta’s sales force in China and strengthen advocacy for Alberta as a travel destination.
5. Upholding a high-level knowledge of current market conditions that will increase Alberta’s marketshare, visitation and revenue from China.
6. The Business Development Manager reports daily to the Senior Business Development Manager based in China,and reports regularly to the Business Development Director, Asia based in Travel Alberta’s Head Office in Calgary, Alberta.
