Some people believe that university students should pay all the costs of studies because university education only benefits the students themselves, not the society as a whole. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

这道题也属于老题重现了，有记录的上一次出现是2010年7月份，（中间可能有遗漏）。这道题的逻辑比较绕，同学们请一定记住：话题看似论证的为‘政府还是个人付大学学费’，实则为‘大学是否仅仅只让个人获益’。

这类题目自带因果的话题，同学们请一定要用题目的因论证出题目的果，而不能自创因果关系。所以该文章的逻辑架构为：

-政府需要付学费：大学教育也会让社会获益（不仅仅让个人获益）

-政府无需付学费：大学教育仅仅让个人获益（社会并未获益）

同学们可以发现，这篇文章写否定，即政府需要付学费好写，因为证明大学教育有让社会获益，是比证明大学教育没有让社会获益，要简单不少的。

Tertiary education has benefits for both individuals as well as the rest of society, which means if university education is left to market forces, there may be under-provision and economy may suffer from a lack of skilled graduates. Generally, higher education leads to a more educated and productive workforce, allowing countries with high rates of university education having higher levels of innovation and productivity growth. Therefore, there is a justification for government subsidizing higher education.

While taxpayers would carry the burden initially, government support of a college education can help eliminate the need for welfare in the long run by reducing the levels of family or class-related poverty.
