Servian has recently launched in Tasmania and are on the hunt for a Senior Data Consultant to join the team.

This is an exceptional role for a Senior Data Consultant to work on exciting projects across a diverse array of industries. You’ll be driven by solving complex problems and providing first-class solutions to a variety of clients that inspire you to learn and thrive. You will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a brand new office based in Hobart and shape the direction of its growth. On top of this, you will work alongside a talented team of Consultants spread across Australia who all share your passion for building great solutions, solving challenges and learning new skills.

About You

You will have the technical expertise not just in the tools you’ve used but more crucially you’re an expert in SQL and the general data domain. You have good client facing and communication skills. You have a deep understanding of broader architectures. You have a passion for data and analytics.

You may have worked as a data warehouse specialist, or have transitioned into the wonderful world of big data, however you will bring your end-to-end data experience and skills in data warehouse architecture, data modeling, data integration, BI and data visualization. You have experience working with business stakeholders and understanding data needs for the business.

We’re not prescriptive about DW/BI technologies as we believe skilled consultants often work with many technologies and quickly pick up new ones when required. You have a desire to learn and acquire new skills, including advanced analytics and big data technologies.

You will have worked as part of a team and, ideally, had some client facing and client management experience. Servian senior consultants are ambitious technology leaders who aspire to lead teams, advise customers and deliver large scale data analytics programs.

What we look for

• Impressive general domain knowledge in Information Management and Data Warehouse including but not limited to Data Governance, Data visualisation, Business Intelligence, ETL

• Mastery of SQL

• Experienced with ETL Tools (Talend, Informatica etc..)

• Accomplished with traditional DWH software (Netezza, Teradata)

• You’ve led major projects before in a tech lead capacity. You’ve also managed and mentored teams before.

Prior experience in any of the following is advantageous:

• Cloud services particularly PaaS DWH (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, GCP BigQuery)

• Big Data (Hadoop ecosystem)

• Machine Learning (Python, ML models)

Due to rapid growth and Client demand, we have an opportunity for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our Brisbane team.

You will be the go-to person for all that is AWS!

About you...

• In-depth experience with AWS Cloud Migrations and Formation

• Technical expertise in Application Migration Strategies  - ie. Rehost vs. Replatform vs. Refactor

• You have designed and deployed cloud computing services such as IaaS

• AWS Associate (or higher) Certified – essential

• You have experience implementing/migrating Cloud on an Enterprise systems scale

• Exposure to other Cloud technologies (Private or Public), Data and Programming will be highly regarded.
