Happy New Year!
As we enter 2014, it’s a great opportunity to look back at what has been a great year for Rivermarque.
RCQ Construction continues to deliver on the milestones with the top level slab and block walls being completed before the Christmas break in readiness for the roof to be installed in January. Sales are continuing to exceed expectations with over 70 apartments now sold and indications are that the Mackay market will continue to show growth in the months and years ahead.
Recent REIQ figures show the Queensland residential house market is definitely on the move with sales growing and prices firming in many areas. It’s encouraging to see Mackay posted a 5% increase in activity over the quarter which bodes well going into 2014.
REIQ CEO Anton Kardash told the Daily Mercury earlier this week that as the Queensland market had been posting promising results for the past year there was now no doubt that the majority of the market was well into a growth phase.
"Given the price increases in the southern states, there is no doubt that Queensland remains one of the most affordable places to buy or invest in property,” Mr Kardash said.
"With this in mind, we are likely to see an increase in interstate investors and migrants taking advantage of these excellent opportunities."
Reed Property Group have certainly experienced a higher level of interstate and international interest this year with a number of Rivermarque sales originating from Sydney and China, following our recent trip to Taiwan and Beijing.
The New Year will see the opening of our fully furnished display apartment at Rivermarque so if you’d like to come and experience Rivermarque for yourself we encourage you to come down and see the apartment. For those who are further afield, we look forward to sending you photos of the apartment in February with our latest construction update.
We are also looking forward to making some exciting announcements about tenants moving into the street-front retail premises which are sure to add to the buzzing CBD when Rivermarque completes in the middle of the year.
