澳大利亚公共会计师协会（IPA AU）就《澳大利亚带薪产假修订法案2014》的正式发布向政府道贺。此次修订取消了雇主为员工支付产假期间薪水的规定。

 “IPA AU之所以一直倡导该改变，是因为我们意识到，为雇员支付产假薪水属于澳大利亚政府的工作范畴，而非企业雇主，” IPA AU全球执行总裁安德鲁﹒康威先生提到，“特别是小企业，已经代表政府利益做了很多事情，加之该额外成本负担的取消，均值得赞扬。该反映常识的法案，对于澳大利亚小企业部门的发展是一项重大支持。”

Paid Parental Leave – Common sense at last

The Institute ofPublic Accountants (IPA) has congratulated the Government with its introductionof the Paid Parental Leave Amendment Bill 2014 which removes employers aspaymasters.

"The IPA haslong advocated for this change as we see it is the role of government to makethese payments to employees, not employers," said IPA chief executiveofficer, Andrew Conway.

"Smallbusinesses, in particular are already doing enough on behalf of the Governmentand the removal of this additional cost burden is to be commended.

"This Billreflects common sense policy decision that supports Australia's small businesssector," said Mr Conway.
