The diagram gives information about a cross section of the inside structure of the earth. The earth consists of four concentric layers: inner core, outer core, mantle and crust. The inner core is the center and also the hottest part of the earth; the outer layer is the layer surrounding the inner core. The mantle is the widest section of the earth and it can be divided into upper mantle and the lower mantle. The crust is the outer layer of the earth and it is also the thinnest layer among the four. It is formed with oceanic crust and continental crust. The boundary between the earth’s crust and underlying mantle is called Mohorovicic discontinuity. And the whole globe is covered with atmosphere.
