Tourism Australia recognise the important role that front line travel sellers play in bringing visitors to Australia. The Aussie Specialist Program is the interactive online training platform Tourism Australia uses to educate, update and motivate these agents, making it easier to sell and assisting in their efforts to promote the many tourist attractions and unique qualities Australia has to offer their customers. Think of the role as a "Destination Influencer" or an "Australian Advocate."
Your team will help develop, implement and maintain the program in China.
What you need to know about this opportunity
Training on the platform and education on Australia will be provided... but if you are from Australia or have visited before, that is an obvious bonus.
Bi-lingual is a must - both in Mandarin and fluent English.
Role Description
You will be responsible for the success of the entire Aussie Specialist Program (ASP) in China, driving and managing four ASP Trainers (based in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Chengdu), one ASP Coordinator (based in Shanghai).
The Program Manager will manage the team as well as stakeholder relationships with the Australian State Tourism Organizations (STO) allowing the Coordinators to focus on driving engagement of the ASP site and the Trainers to focus on training and delivery.
You will provide support for the ongoing development of the ASP website as well as sharing insights, best practice and content from other markets.
Other responsibilities include
Managing and motivating the team
Identifying gaps in the program and assisting with content updates
Overseeing any contractual agreements
Ensuring the smooth running of collateral distribution requests in Greater China
Preparing monthly reports on activities and KPIs
Developing the overall ASP engagement plan
Role Requirements / Must-Haves
Comprehensive knowledge of China's travel industry and structure
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
Sound understanding of customer service and marketing principles
Proven people management and leadership experience
Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Excellent presentation skills
Database management experience
Effective prioritisation, organisation and management skills
Ability to establish and maintain contractual arrangements
Role Requirements / Nice-to-haves
Prior travel experience in Australia will be highly beneficial!
Experience with ADOBE Marketing Cloud software, specifically Experience Manager, ADOBE Analytics' and ADOBE Campaign, highly regarded
A degree in tourism, digital marketing, media, communications or business is preferred
