Job DescriptionWorking as an integral part of our team, this role's primary purpose is to provide application-level support for Java stacks that are hosted in cloud environments (typically AWS), working closely with the Application Lead Engineer and other Cloud Support Engineers to foster and maintain strong technical relationships with customers.

Work with application stakeholders to build and prioritise a backlog of issues for key customers.
Development:
Software development in Java.
Understand existing Java code repositories and make modifications without breaking functionality.

Use of modern CI/CD tools for application development and deployment.
Write clear and concise application-specific support documents.
Core Support activities:
Learn how to prioritise technical escalation duties and seek assistance when required.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Willingness to learn Cloud Computing on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.
Ideally one year's experience as a Java Developer
Experience developing and supporting Software applications in Java.
Superb communication skills.
Ability to develop a great customer focus at all times, with a strong sense of ethics.
Willingness to learn the use of modern CI/CD tools for software development and deployment..
Exposure to Relational Database Management Technologies (e.g. MySQL, Aurora etc), SQL and and NoSQL technologies.
