Our Nexia Sydney Office is growing! As a result, an exciting opportunity has been created for a Junior Accounts Payable Officer to join our internal finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Junior Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for assisting the accounts payable function to ensure that all creditors and monthly entries are processed in a timely manner, and providing support to the wider finance team as required. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Entering and paying of all creditors

• Preparing end of month (EOM) entries for MYOB, monthly direct payments and GST provision

• Balancing of EOM entries, ie MYOB disbursements and petty cash

• Electronic filing of all payments using a paperless office system

• Reconciling and processing corporate credit card expenditure

• Providing support to the internal Finance team

• Maintaining petty cash float

• Cross over duties including Accounts Receivable functions when required

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will require at least 1 years' Accounts Payable experience and undergoing or completed an Accounting or Finance qualification (TAFE, University or other certified course).

In addition, you will have:

• exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written);

• excellent time management skills;

• proactive and have a positive attitude; and

• be technology savvy, with an understanding of relevant finance software (eg MYOB).
