We are looking for a sharp-shooting Senior Strategy Analyst to evaluate key projects and support continuous business improvement strategies. You will provide innovative insights into value enhancing strategies and be a key player in the long term planning process for Melbourne Airport.  Managing scenario analysis is your bread and butter and maintaining and improving the long term financial model excites you. 

Here's a snapshot of your responsibilities:

• Accurately develop financial business cases in collaboration with Strategy and Project Managers

• Assess the impact of significant investments on APAC's long term financial metrics

• With oversight from the Manager C&IM, manage the long term corporate valuation (LTM) model.

• Assist with the development of consistent frameworks, modelling tools and processes to improve forecasting

• Assist with or lead projects, providing financial support and advice to the business

• Assist Strategy Managers to develop and analyse performance metrics relevant to business initiatives to drive and measure the desired outcomes.

• Support the development of robust business cases through the interrogation of assumptions, risk assessments, modelled scenarios and ensure that hurdle rate obligations and other necessary parameters are considered.

• Liaise with relevant stakeholders to develop and assess scenarios to test assumptions, make recommendations and drive informed investment decisions

• Develop and maintain a sound understanding of the airport's infrastructure assets and aeronautical pricing mechanics, continually interrogating industry and economic data to provide an insightful perspective using comparative data.

• Continually look for opportunities to improve business processes using analyses and systems in order to  improve the quality, consistency, efficiency and effectiveness of day-to-day business decisions

You are a commercially astute, tertiary qualified (in Commerce/Economics/Accounting – or similar) self-motivated, individual with a strong attention to detail. You have at least 3 years' experience in corporate finance, investment/business evaluation and interrogate data passionately. You can manage multiple projects and tasks and communication in all forms comes naturally to you. You are open to learning, sharing idea's, knowledge and expertise and constructively question the way things are done and suggest ways to continuously improve
