The role
Reporting to the Portfolio Manager of Industry Banking, our Credit Analyst team play a critical role in developing business plans and strategies and analyse and interpret complex financial data. The scope is Commercial deals 10 million and above and they are the local experts responsible for the end-to-end preparation of credit applications, as well as management and control of their existing loan and deposit portfolios, plus document preparation when required. 

Main accountabilities of the role will include: 

• Credit Structuring – assist with the submission of quality, profitable deals with a high conversion rate through to settlement. Preparation of submissions including financial analysis and due diligence

• Managing & liaising with internal parties to achieve required customer and business outcomes

• Contacting clients and attending meetings with Relationship Manager and clients to discuss adequacy or need for review of lending facilities

• Undertaking financial analysis and preparing lending/increased lending applications for new and existing clients

• Developing strong relationships with existing and new customers, through the provision of effective customer service and engagement in Industry Banking planning

• Implementation of customer and prospect specific marketing and relationship building activities. 

• Ideally, you'll have a Business or Finance qualification combined with a proven experience in banking/finance - preferably with exposure to commercial analytics.

What you’ll need to succeed
Ideally you will have experience in a similar Senior Analyst role within Banking. You'll have great organisational skills with an ability to prioritise activities and a desire to exceed expectations. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment. An understanding of loan security documentation and usual statutory requirements is preferred as well as a knowledge of cash flow lending.
