Graduate Accountant (Superannuation)

Job description

It’s an exciting time here at BlueRock, seeing us set up our stand-alone Superannuation division earlier this year and growing rapidly. As such, we are on the hunt for a Graduate accountant to work within the Superannuation team reporting directly to our Head of Superannuation and play a key role in the growth and success of this division.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for SMSF clients;

2. Preparing PAYG payment summaries, Section 290 documents and calculating minimum pensions;

3. Reviewing taxation notices and preparing correspondence on behalf of clients;

4. Liaising with ATO and Auditor

5. Ensuring SMSFs are compliant with Superannuation Industry (Supervision) and Income Tax Assessment Acts and Regulations;

6. Communication with clients as required

7. Administration for the team as required

8. Identify opportunities and client requirements for financial planning services and referrals.

Key Selection Criteria:

1. Completed a Bachelor degree in Accounting or similar discipline

2. A desire to undertake further Accounting qualifications such as CA or CPA

3. Strong communication skills is essential for this role

4. Thrives in an autonomous role as well as in a team environment;

5. Highly driven with a proactive and positive attitude;
