A rare opportunity exists within our Business Advisory division for a Senior Accountant with approximately 3-4 years’ experience.

We are seeking an experienced Xero professional who is CA qualified, or soon to be, and who has the professional confidence to interact with a variety of clients and develop team members.

Excellent organisational skills, teamed with solid experience in reviewing the work of more junior staff is essential. Possessing a strong client service focus is imperative as is the ability to be completely accountable for your tasks.

This role will suit a professional who:

• Has a solid technical Business Advisory background in preparing financial statements and income tax returns;

• Has proven experience in reviewing the work of less experienced team members;

• Is proficient in Xero Blue (essential)

• Is a team player with the commitment & patience to invest in developing junior staff;

• Has the ability to review raw client information and produce a work paper file, complete financial statements and income tax returns for basic review, and highlight further investigative issues;

• Has strong attention to detail, organisation and is committed to meeting deadlines;

• Is confident liaising with clients and answering queries;

• Can prepare client correspondence and letters of advice;

• Identifies accounting issues that may require value-added work.

A rare opportunity exists within our Tax Consulting Division for either a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our close-knit team and help build the momentum of significant growth that the division has experienced in recent years.

We’re seeking an individual who is committed to professional growth, enjoys building long term client relationships, working closely with team members and wants to develop expertise in tax consulting.

Whilst this may be a great opportunity for an experienced Tax professional from an existing Big 4, mid-tier or smaller boutique firm with at least 2 years experience, , we will also consider experienced professionals from business services /business advisory with a genuine interest to develop tax consulting expertise who are ready to be provided with heavy professional development and training.

You will be closely mentored by the Tax Partner, to assist building together innovative and practical tax solutions for an existing and fast growing client base across various markets.  The specific role title and responsibilities will depend on experience; however the successful applicant will provide a mix of the following:

• Tax consulting advice (both written and verbal)

• Tax compliance

• Assistance with written tax articles, tax papers and tax seminars

• Client relations and assisting with the firm’s business development and marketing strategies.

Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to work in a team, strong academic results and initiative.

Completion or near completion of the CA or CPA Program will be highly regarded.
