澳大利亚驻成都总领事林明皓向在华澳洲公民通告关于新冠肺炎疫情最新情况

2020年03月28日 澳大利亚驻成都总领事馆

Hello, my name is Christopher Lim. I am the Australian Consul-General in southwest China.

I would like to give you an update from the Consulate in Chengdu about the current situation affecting Australians in China.

The COVID-19 outbreak has had a big impact on everyone. And the situation is evolving rapidly.

If you’re in Australia, please note that the Australian Government has announced a ban on all overseas travel, with a few exceptions.

Also, the Chinese Government has temporarily suspended entry into China by foreign nationals holding visas or residence permits. This means most Australians will not be able to enter China at this time.

We note that the coronavirus outbreak in China appears to have stabilised.

If you are in China, please note that the current travel advice for Australians is to return to Australia as soon as possible by commercial means while they are still available. China is now limiting the number of flights per week to Australia.

If you choose to stay in China, please note that you should have sufficient resources to support yourself for a period of months.

Please follow the instructions of local authorities, and stay abreast of Australian Government announcements through Smartraveller or our WeChat account.

The Consulate in Chengdu remains open and ready to assist. You can email us at [email protected].
