Shed Hand .Farm Hand .Fish Packer

Shed Hand
• Perform general labouring and / or cleaning duties 
• Perform set up and pack down of packing equipment 
• Participates in cool chain management
• Participates in grading and packing activities 
• Moves materials and equipment 
• Operates mechanical equipment such as bin tippers / graders 
• Operates a truck & forklift under supervision 
• Demonstrate basic skills is housekeeping , manual handling and use of tools and equipment 
• Demonstrate ability to use common language skills and understanding in written and oral communication
• Demonstrate ability to use basic mathematical and reasoning skills

Farm Hand 
• Performs all shed hand duties and tasks 
• Performs basic net mending duties 
• Participates in nursery activities 
• Participates in harvest set up and pack down procedures 
• Participates in net run and harvest activities
• Participates in ice making and aerating procedures 
• Participates in farm husbandry including weed management 
• Participates in fish husbandry including feeding 
• Removes fish mortalities as required 
• Performs pond management duties and is required to enter water 
• Learns basic knot tying skills 
• Moves materials and equipment 
• Operates a truck & forklift under supervision 
• Reports hazards to supervisor /, management 
• Reports native and feral animal activity to management 
• Operates feed crane under supervision 
• Records feed & fish data 
• Undertakes vehicle maintenance

Fish Packer 
• Prepare work area for packing 
• Prepare boxes for packing 
• Take temperatures of fish 
• Pack fish to size and quality specification 
• Ice fish 
• Report weights and counts to data processor 
• Tare scale to zero 
• Clean work area after processing 
• Clean and put away tools and equipment
