Data Engineer

• Skills in Data Engineering and Software Development: As a skilled data engineer you bring hands-on experience in software development in languages such as Java, Scala and/or Python or equivalent language. 

• You will also bring skills in Big Data technologies and Apache ecosystem including Apache Spark, Kafka, Hive, Airflow, NiFi and have experience building end to end data pipelines using on-premise or cloud based data platforms. 

• Any experience with cloud such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure is highly desirable but not mandatory

DevOps, Systems Engineering, Hadoop Administration- Consultant

Devops 

• Must have skills

• Solid understanding of Linux based environments

• Specific experience with RHEL administration is highly desirable but not mandatory

• Proficient in at least 1 major scripting language. e.g. Python or Shell scriptingProficient in storage technologies like SAN, NAS, NFS, SCSI and JBOD

• Proficient in at least 1 configuration management tool like Chef or Ansible

About You:

• Skills in Data Engineering and Machine Learning: As a data science consultant you will have proficiency in one or more of Python, R, Scala, Matlab/Octave, Java, C/C++, Go, Javascript, Clojure etc. You will also have either hands on experience or good knowledge of the one of the following concepts such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, deep learning, feature engineering, natural language processing, computer vision, signal processing etc. Other skills and experience that will be highly regarded are the likes of big data ecosystem technologies (e.g. Spark, Kafka), deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras), application and system engineering technologies (Kubernetes, Docker etc). Any experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure is highly desirable but not mandatory

About the role

We are growing, so we need additional talent with cloud engineering and infrastructure skills plus a passion for technology for our Google Cloud practice. Candidates will need to problem solve for our customers, in a consulting capacity.

We are always looking to speak with experienced ETL consultants, especially those who are Australian Citizens who have the ability to obtain some sort of security clearance.

General Skills

• Strong professional drive and self-motivated

• Experience in Data integration tools like: DataStage, QualityStage, Informatica, Talend, SAS or Oracle.

• Experience in Enterprise software installation and Implementation- Active Directory

• Passion for IT and are keen to develop and expand their skill sets
