近期，听力成为了大家7炸8炸路上的拦路虎。通过分析他们平时的复习情况以及考场上的反馈，我们不难发现，大部分的同学在Retell Lecture这个题型上存在着这样或那样的问题，更有些同学对于Retell Lecture这个题型甚至是无比抗拒的。

在平时练习中，很多人都不知道应该如何练习RetellLecture或者如何利用手头上数量有限的机经原文。因此在真实考试中，在Retell Lecture的答题过程中，当听了整个文章后，因为对这个题型的抗拒以及平时练习的不足，这个部分总是答得不够好，最后影响到听力的部分。

今天我们一篇近期的Retell Lecture新题来为大家介绍一下Retell Lecture应该怎样准备，怎样答题。

首先，我们必须要为大家强调一点：

有机经固然好，机经是最好的官方练习题，但是机经只能锦上添花，却不能雪中送炭。我们应该通过对机经进行练习来提高我们自身的水平和能力，而不是死记硬背机经中的回忆。

下面，让我们通过听力原文来剖析一下Smell of Books这道Retell Lecture：

第一段

Indeed, the library. We’ve allbeen to a historic library. We’ve all enjoyed the smell of a historic library.But what is it? And what does it mean? When we’ve recently, when at UCL Centerfor Sustainable Heritage, we’ve recently been asked to access the environmentat another historical library at Saint Paul’s Cathedral, the Wren library, anincredible place. And it has a such an intensive smell of old books, and we werealso asked for the first time really I was actually taken aback by the belief, we were askedwhat you do please preserve the smell. It is so important how people perceivethe library. So, that is, that was quite an important message in ourresearch. And indeed the smell is an important way of how we communicate with theenvironment.

This piece of research was done by an advertising company, because advertisers are so interested in how we interact with eachother and the environment. And we see that the majority of people use sight obviously to interactwith the environment,but on the second place, we see the smell is alsovery, very important. It is also a very very interesting sense. I’ll talk aboutit later. Hearing is obviously very important. All three of those are represent how weinteract with heritage the environment. We look at things. We smellthings. We hear creaking doors and floors.

在这段中，作者首先介绍了这个实验是由一个广告公司做的，以及其中的原因。然后描述了视觉，嗅觉和听觉是人们与他人及环境互动的方式。
