相信大家最近都不难发现，RA的难度节节攀升，出现了很多难念的单词和生词。除了意群要顾以外，单词的发音、单词的重音、句子的重音等会给同学们造成非常多的困扰。那么对于难度不断提升、占分却又那么重的RA，我们应该如何应对呢？今天我们就借着一道RA新题来给大家指点迷津。
首先来看题。
题目：Population growth
How quickly is the world’s population growing? In the United States and other developed countries, the current growth rate is very low. In most developing countries, the human population is growing at a rate of 3 per cent per second.Because of this bustling growth rate, the human population is well on its way to reaching 9 billion within life time.
首先，我们先来看几个同学常常会念错的单词：
1. Population：美式发音/ˌpɑpju'leʃən/ 英式发音 /pɒpjʊ'leɪʃ(ə)n/
- 这两种发音都是正确的
- 注意重音在后半段lation
2. Developed：ed结尾清化/t/
- 因为develop结尾是清辅音
3. Growing：/'ɡrəʊɪŋ/ 两个元音
- 很多同学这里只会发一个o的音，这样就大错特错了。/əʊ/是双元音，所以要有/ə/，也要有/ʊ/。
4. Bustling：/'bʌsliŋ/熙熙攘攘的
- 这个单词注意不是/bju:/而是短音的/bʌ/
- 其次，不要读成/bʌsəliŋ/，正确的音标的/s/后面直接接了/l/
5. Lifetime：/'laɪftaɪm/两个元音
- 同growing一样，life和time的/aɪ/是双元音，/a/和/ɪ/都要发饱满。不是‘爱’而是‘阿一’。
6. the (/ði/) United States
- 因为united是元音开头，the要读成/ði/
其次，我们来看看要失爆的地方：

In most developing countries, the human population is growing at arate of 3 per cent per second. Because of this bustling growth rate, the human population is well on its way to reaching 9 billion within lifetime.
1. Current后面跟着growth（浊辅音/g/），所以t就失爆
2. 同理most后面跟着developing（浊辅音/d/），所以t就失爆
还有可以连读的地方：
How quicklyis the world’s population growing? In the United States and other developed countries, the current growth rate is very low. In most developing countries, the human population is growing at a rate of3 per cent per second. Because of this bustling growth rate, the human population is well on its way to reaching 9 billion within lifetime.
1. And后面的other是元音开头，读起来的感觉是/ən’dʌðə/
2. Ata rate of 里面有两个连读：第一个是/ætə/；第二个是/reɪtəf/
3. Becauseof的of要弱读成/əv/，连读的感觉是/bɪ'kɒzəv /
4. Wellon的这组连读很多人可能会忽略，就把well读完再读on，其实这里是可以连读的（并不是我们要刻意，native speaker经常会这样连读）。连读的感觉是/welɒn /
再来看可以断句的地方：
How quicklyis the world’s population growing? In the United States and other developedcountries,/ thecurrent growth rate /is very low. In most developing countries,/ the human population is growing / at a rate of 3 per centper second. Because of this bustling growth rate,/ the human population is well on its way / to reaching 9 billion / within lifetime.
1. 有标点符号的地方都必须断
2. 逗号的地方短暂断
3. 主语后面可以断
4. 介词前面可以断
最后看看句子重音:
”How quickly is the world’s population growing? ’In the United States and other developedcountries, ”the current growth rate is very low. ’In most developing countries, the human population is ”growing at a rate of 3per cent per second. ’Becauseof this bustling growth rate, the human population is ”well on its way to reaching ’9 billion withinlifetime.
