Dixie Park Dairying is a 600 cow family run business based 5km South of Terang in SW Victoria. With our busy calving and sowing season about to start, we require an experienced person to join our team.
Duties will include but not limited to
- milking (55 rotary, removers, auto teat sprayer, draft and heat detection)
- tractor work (feeding, drilling, spreading, spraying)
- calf rearing (approx 300 calves)
- general farm duties (fencing, maintenance, cleaning etc)
Accomodation is available at a pub in nearby Terang for $150/we including breakfast and linen. Terang has all the services you need and The Great Ocean Rd and beach are 30 minutes away while Melbourne is a little over 2 hrs.
We require someone with experience in dairy farming so that after initial induction can fit straight in and have the skills to perform the daily task. If you don’t have the above skills please don’t apply.
This role will be paid at the casual Agriculture award rate of $24.36/hr. We run a 5 on 2 off roster with approx 38-40 hours/week. Expect this role to be for minimum of 3 months or longer for the right applicant.
