The Company

The company is a boutique financial adviser and investment manager. Their clients include private individuals, family offices, self-managed superannuation funds, foundations and not-for-profit groups.

At the core of their investment philosophy is a commitment to invest mindfully and with care. They focus on the generation of income from secure investments and are conservative guardians of their clients’ hard-earned capital.

While their decisions are conservative, the returns are not - their performance to date is highly competitive. They are mindful that the first priority of their clients is to not lose any capital; the second is to grow it, and the third is to grow it well.

The Role

Position：Research Analyst

Location：Sydney

● Equity research, property cycle research and Bloomberg automation and development related.

● Including back testing investment strategy and stop loss strategy.

● Be responsible for analysis of listed stocks on a range of Global indices.

● From your in-depth fundamental bottom up DCF research combined with qualitative measures, you will provide investment ideas to the Investment Committee for new inclusions to the portfolios.

● Use a range of sources and your initiative to generate as much quality information to formulate views on your stocks.

● Keep up to date and maintain your knowledge of portfolio.

● Prepare regular reports/commentaries on assigned stocks.

● Effectively communicate your views to I.C. via all forms of communication.

● Assist with portfolio reporting, including returns, market value calculations, and characteristics as well as the preparation of materials for client meetings.

● Propose and develop improvements to existing business processes.

● Cooperate with Bloomberg Quant Platform to assess the opportunity of participation.

● Develop investment tools to support investment decisions.

● Develop mechanical tools to reduce administrative aspects of portfolio management.

● Assist in the creation and presentation of research papers.

The Candidate

● Undergraduate Degree accompanied with advancement towards post grad studies (ie CFA, MAF)

● Outstanding academic records.

● Self-starter with an analytical mindset

● 1-3 years of relevant corporate experience

● Excellent verbal/written communication skills

● Detail oriented, with the ability to think in a structured and analytical manner
