As the world integrates, the proliferation of migration has became a prevalent topic for fierce discuss. Yet at the same time, various issues have arisen, a serious one of which is migrating or living in a foreign country is a blessing or cruse. In my opinion, I think the advantages of migration overweigh the disadvantages.

Admittedly, moving to a foreign country provide a border career options to individuals. According to a research from Monash University, people who immigrate to a new country have sixty percent more career choices than those who just stay in their homeland. For example, after migrating to a new country and getting the permission to work in the foreign country, I am able to legally work in both their home country and the new ones. As a result, I enjoy morework opportunities compared with my counterparts in my hometown. Thus, choosing to live in a new country has a positive effect on people’s career development.

Moreover, it is no doubt that immigrating to a country without any preparation may lead to cultural conflicts for new migrants. More specifically, having no understanding about the culture and customs of the target state, new comers may find it difficult to merge with local society and communicate with people from different backgrounds. For instance, when I went to Australia, I did not have enough knowledge about the multicultural society here, so when I tried to interact with my classmate, I used to have some behaviors that were regarded as impolite.Therefore, migrating may also cause cultural conflicts.

In conclusion, although migrating to a new country can rise cultural conflicts, I still believe that it offers more benefits, including increasing number of job opportunities.
