We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join our Melbourne team on a 12 month fixed term contract!
About the team
The Chinese Services Group (CSG) is an integrated team of specialists, in both Australia and China, that serves Chinese clients who wish to invest or undertake cross-border business operations in Australia. Our expertise knows no end as we support clients in matters from M&A, tax and audit, financial advisory, to digital and tech consulting!
What will your typical day look like?
The role of the Business Development Specialist is to identify, manage, elevate and build Deloitte's presence in the Chinese market. In doing this, they will identify business development opportunities and convert these opportunities to wins. The CSG team enable and strengthen Deloitte's relationship with the Chinese community and market.
Identify sales opportunities with clients from the Chinese market and convert these opportunities to wins for Deloitte
Connect key stakeholders within Deloitte Australia with key stakeholders from the Chinese Deloitte firm and Chinese market to enhance and develop long term relationships
Build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders listed below to ensure all Chinese market opportunities are enhanced with your skills, experience and knowledge
Understand the Deloitte strategy to ensure your time, energy and efforts are strategically focused on opportunities that align to the CSG team strategy and firm strategy
Ensure wins are realized through your influence and relationships built with key stakeholders
Report regularly to the National Chinese Group Lead Partner on all wins and potential wins
Recognize when situations and/or potential wins should be escalated to the National Chinese Group Lead Partner and manage it appropriately
Educate key stakeholders of Deloitte in best practices in managing, maintaining and building relationships and opportunities in the Chinese market
Enough about us, let's talk about you:
You will have strong business development experience within the Chinese market, with previous exposure to 'C' Suite and/or Boards to lead effective discussions to positively influence decision makers.
Key experience includes:
Wide range of industry experience, preferably with knowledge of the oil, gas or energy sector
Ability to work collaboratively in a team
Ability to think laterally across diverse client business processes
Business or related degree
Mandarin speaker
