2014雅思口语热门话题 Important Building 

Describe an important building

You should say:

1. Where is it?

2. Why is it important?

3. Describe the appearance of this building.

And explain the influence on the local people.

I’m going to describe a modern building in Melbourne which also has a cultural significance. It’s called the Eureka Tower, and it’s the tallest building in the city with about 80 floors and it’s located in South Bank.

我将描述一个墨尔本的现代化建筑而且它也有一定的文化意义。他被称之为Eureka Tower，是城中最高的建筑物，约80层，位于South Bank。

第一段开门见山的直奔主题而去，并且回答了第一个问题 1. Where is it?，起篇就用了一个复合句然后被动句加上and链接的句型。

烤鸭们注意如果在口语考试中总觉得自己part2越说越乱可以适当的在开始阶段用一些复杂句型然后自由发挥，这样既可以避免无意识的错误又可以有一些句式多样性的加分。

Although it’s called the Eureka Tower but most people know this building as the Observation Deck . In fact the bottom half of the tower is a luxury hotel and the top half is apartments. The apartments are expensive because the location and views make them very desirable and fancy to live in. 

虽然它被称为Eureka Tower，但大多数人都因观景台而得知此建筑物。其实建筑物下半部分是一家豪华酒店，而上半部分则是公寓。该公寓是昂贵的，因为位置和风景使得人们非常向往去居住。

第二段还是依照了话题卡的顺序回答2. Why is it important?并解释了一下建筑物的构造问题，简单的上下一分层既起到了描述又引入了问题的答案。秀出了一些口语的高级词汇，烤鸭们估计一看都认识但能不能运用自由，脱口而出呢，反复练习将是最佳捷径。

The appearance of the building looks kind of strange and I am not sure if I like the design of the building. It’s just a huge glass tower with a red tape on the top left corner of it but it definitely stands out! It has become a famous landmark in the city. You can see it as you approach Melbourne and it’s an easy place to meet people because it’s so distinctive and east to find. 

建筑物的外观看起来有点怪，我不知道我是否喜欢它的建筑设计。它只是一个巨大的玻璃塔，在它的左上角有一个红色的带子型的构造，但它肯定脱颖而出了！它已成为一个著名的城市地标。当你靠近墨尔本时可以看到它，并且它识别度高容易被找到，所以人们容易在这里碰面。

还是一个中规中矩的回答问题式的描述 3. Describe the appearance of this building. 也略微带了些解释描述了下这个建筑外部的特色及对人们的好处，有理有据。

The most interesting thing about the building which also influences the locals a lot is that there is a bar/restaurant on the last floor which has spectacular views of the city; it’s definitely the best vantage point in Melbourne because there are no walls, only huge windows so you can look out over the city from different angles in any direction. 

关于此建筑物最有趣的事情是具有城市的壮观景色的顶楼酒吧/餐厅，这对当地人有很多影响。它绝对是在墨尔本的最佳地点，因为没有墙，只有巨大窗口，以便您可以从任何方向不同的角度俯瞰这个城市。

回答问题式的描述了explain the influence on the local people. 注意其用词及解释自己的主句内容。烤鸭们在口语part2的考试时有时会想不起接下去该如何去描述，这时候请不要惊慌，回到话题卡或者你1分钟做的笔记中看下问题或者关键字来展开回答，以上答案完全重复了题目的词汇和句型，这是完全允许的，一方面延长了描述的时间而且回答了话题卡中的问题，一石二鸟。

As far as I know, visitors can go up to an observation deck on the top floor, which is the last floor. There's also a 360-degree observation area on the floor. Apparently, the building makes more money from the sale of tickets to the observation floors than it does from office and/or apartment rentals. 

据我所知，游客可以去到顶楼的观景台，这是最高一层。还有脚下的360度的观察区。显然，此建筑物获取了更多的收入于贩卖观景台楼层的门票，比起它从办公室和/或公寓的租金而言。

这是个附加段落表明一个较小且不痛不痒的观点。其实烤鸭们只要好好调整语速并且掌握回答每道小问的平均长度就可以很好的把握住2分钟的时间了。切记以正常描述的角度切入，想想如果中文我要如何进行大概的描述，前1分钟的笔记时间是完全可以写中文的哦~~

Anyway, I’d recommend anyone who visits the city to go there and experience the views. 

无论如何，我会建议任何访问墨尔本的人去那里体验一下风景。

一句话做个结尾，示意考官，口语part2的描述结束了，如果已经到了需要求的2分钟回答时间考官会很合理的问个小问题然后进入part3，如果时间未到他会有一定的肢体提示，烤鸭们需注意临场根据考官的意图发挥。
