Teller position

Bank of China, currently with an expanding branch network in Australia, is seeking a skilled energetic and highly motivated Tellers to join the Bank's growing offices in Melbourne.

The individual will be mainly responsible for Bank Business Operation and Customer Inquires. Candidates should possess appropriate tertiary qualifications with strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.

To be considered, possessing following skills and experience are essential:

Thorough understanding of banking industry and market in Australia
Comprehensive knowledge of various of retail banking products, i.e. Deposit, Remittance, Accounts, Foreign Exchange, as well as Accounts Opening;
Previous retail banking experience within financial services is highly appreciated;
Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with the proven ability to liaise with people of different backgrounds;
Fluent in English, Mandarin, both oral and written;
Exemplary natural ability to work independently as well as in a team;

Customer Service Officer (Hybrid)

Port Melbourne Branch
Permanent Part Time - 20 hours a week
Monday to Friday - 9:45am to 1:45am or 2:15pm to 6:15pm

Our Opportunity - Customer Service Officer (Hybrid)
At Bank of Melbourne, we believe in taking the time to get to know our customers as a person, not a series of accounts. We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy dealing with people to be key members of our local branch customer service team.

Our Customer Service Officers have a unique ability; they know how to make banking more of a conversation so customers actually look forward to coming into the branch. They know our customers' names and the neighbourhood they work in like the back of their hand, so they're always assured of a friendly face. Understanding the individual needs of both our personal and business owner customers is second nature and they're able to recommend exactly which products and services will genuinely serve them best. If more specialised advice is needed, they'll introduce customers to the local specialist best able to help.
