We have a number of opportunities in our Rapid Asset Delivery Team which will partner with stakeholders from across the business to improve the way we work to make the lives of our customers easier through digital solutions that will help monitor and save water.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Program Team Leader, this newly created role will see you design, implement and manage data bases, data models and data sets on the data and analytics platform. You will also implement data processing including; mapping data sources, processes and relationships to ensure the validity and integrity of Enterprise data sets.

The Data Engineer establishes methods and tools to gather and process data and to minimise variables and data limitations.

The role will engage with key stakeholders from across the organisation to understand and address the needs of the business in the delivery and integration of complex data platforms and insights.

About You
You’re an experienced Data Engineer with hands-on experience in designing, implementing and managing databases, data models and datasets within a mid-sized organisation.

You have demonstrated experience in developing code for data extraction, transformation and processing, data architecture, data integration and data manipulation at scale.
You’re passionate about delivering excellence in service to your stakeholders through your exceptional communication style by understanding and tailoring solutions to meet the needs of the business.

Technically, you’ll have 4+ years of programming in python, spark (Pyspark), dataframes, querying the metastore and experience developing code for data extraction, transformation and processing.

Whilst not essential, experience in creating pipelines in Azure data factory and configuring Azure Data Brocks and Azure Monitor will be highly advantageous.
