近四个月的漫天大火让每一个身处悉尼的同学都揪心不已，其实这样的大火每年都会有，大家在起初是司空见怪的，然而随着时间的推移，大火愈演愈烈，已经到了不可控制的态势，这不仅是澳洲的劫难，更是人类的灾难，澳洲大陆的生物死亡数据估计已超过4.8亿；与人类不同，这些生物们没有及时撤离的能力，更没有及时准确的救援，因此生命的最后一刻就停滞在了火海中......
它们或被大火活活烧死，或被浓烟呛到窒息；而根据相关人士预测，这场灾难会造成至少5亿生物的灭亡，不仅是大火的直接侵袭，栖息地的毁灭也会直接造成物种的死亡。
而这其中受伤最深重的物种莫过于国宝考拉了，由于桉树的大面积毁灭，考拉的未来生存情况也令人堪忧，迄今为止，已经有超过8400只考拉葬身火海，而那些侥幸逃过一劫的小可爱们，内心也留下了永远不能磨灭的悲痛。
相信大家看到这里都为考拉们捏了一把汗，然而看起来我们并不能为它们做些什么，但是今天！机会来了！由澳大利亚考拉基金会发起的一个考拉领养项目让我们眼前一亮；这是一个非政府、非盈利的组织，致力于野生考拉的保护以及栖息地的保护和管理；在基金会里，我们可以详细的看到考拉的栖息地状况、种植桉树以及领养属于自己的小考拉！（注意：这里说的领养不是直接带回家喔，因为他们需要留在栖息地接受专业人员的照顾，你只需要按月给你的小毛孩打钱就好啦！）

1.打开澳大利亚考拉基金会的官网（https://www.savethekoala.com/）
2.点击“HOW TO HELP”中的“Adopt a koala”
3.接下来你就可以以每月$30的价格领取自己的小考拉啦！
（选择你喜欢的小考拉，里面会有它的出生日期和简单介绍）
领养成功之后，你会收到由基金会寄出的一张个性化的证书，上面会有你的考拉的照片，一封欢迎信以及考拉贴纸等可爱的周边等等，当然，也可以根据你的喜好给考拉起一个新的名字，如果方便，你还可以去看看你的小毛孩喔~

He loves his eucalyptus leaves almost as much as he loves swinging off the scales on weigh day, even when he has already had his turn. Jimmie is always up for a cuddle and loves to meet new people and show off his good looks to the visitors.

Lucy is a mischievous girl who prefers to keep an eye on you from her vantage point, up high on the perching. She is great at acrobatics and can often be found swinging along the branches by only her front arms. Unlike some of the other youngsters, Lucy hates weigh day (we don't blame her), but she will always hang around afterwards for the delicious leafy reward.
