We are currently looking for 8 x workers for Water melon farming in Mataranka NT who are able to complete at least 7 months working in this position. The Position requirements include WATER MELON PICKING AND PACKING in the field. Please note listed below are important details of these positions. 1. WORK HOURS AND RATES Working hours vary between 50 to 60 hours per week Hourly pay rate $23.66 and is in accord with the “Horticulture Award” of Australia 2. START DATE AND TIMES OF WORK Start Date is 29th April 2019 Start time is 07.00 (7 am) and finish approx. at 18.00 (6 pm) 3. TRANSPORT FEES There is a daily charge for the round trip from the pick up point to the farm and return of $6.00 per day. The trip itself takes around 15-20 minutes from the farm to accommodation in the Mataranka town. 4. ACCOMODATION - The tenancy is of no fixed term. Notice to vacate will be reasonably agreed between the parties. - The rent is: $260 per fortnight (the “Rent”) payable in advance as a deduction from payment for work performed. - The amount of the bond is: $400 (the “Bond”) payable in advance by payroll deduction and will be refunded together with your final pay after a final inspection of the vacated premises. The final inspection will verify that there has been no damage and the premises has been left reasonably tidy. ** Conditions apply due to the availability 5. SAFETY As this job is mainly physical labour work, we require that applicants consider their physical abilities and that they have generally good health and will be able to do (mainly) physical work for the hours required.
