每年的农历四月十五月圆日为卫塞节，也称为佛吉祥日。是经联合国规定，佛教徒庆祝释迦牟尼佛诞生，成道及涅盘的日子。佛教徒在当日会以一颗清净的心为佛陀沐浴，并依循佛陀的敦教和步伐，透过持戒，禅修净化内心及培育定力，共同在法上增长，从光明走向光明。

南澳竹林寺谨订于西历2021年5月23日星期天上午九时起开启庆祝仪式，诚邀广大善信互相转告，普来聚会，共沐法恩，同沾法喜，广结善缘！

卫塞节当日活动如下：

上午九时起，举行一年一度的“卫塞节浴佛”法会，藉由为佛陀沐浴之功德，洗净我们身、口、意念之尘垢，求佛加被，消除业障，保佑全家获福平安，并祈愿一切众生能开启佛陀智慧，远离尘垢，同证无上菩提。

一年一度的亚洲各式风味素食义卖，义卖所得款項将用于修建基金。

国际家庭日，知恩、报恩和感恩双亲仪式，届时将感恩法师们的慈悲与教诲。仪式上将为法师与家长们敬献鲜花，儿女将为父母写心意卡、感谢词奉送双亲，并祝愿他们万事如意，福寿安康！

South Australia Zhulin Temple Celebrates Vesak Festival

The Zhu Lin Temple cordially invites you and your family to celebrate Vesak Festival with us on the 23rd May 2021, Sunday. With a purified mind and body, we shall bathe the Buddha, vowing to follow his footsteps in the training of Sila (precepts), cultivating Samadhi (tranquility), and developing Panna (wisdom).

Activities on Vesak day:

1. The Buddha bathing ceremony starts at 9:00 am, Sunday, May 23. The ceremony signifies the cleansing of our own actions of body, speech, and mind, purifying all evil and unwholesome deeds and intentions, to obtain dust-free, stainless vision of the Dhamma .  

2. Asian-style vegetarian food fair, proceeds go to the construction of the pagoda.

3. Also celebrating The International Family Day on the same day, there will be a session of flower offering ceremony to the Venerables and parents. Children will write a card for their parents, to thank them and wish them happiness!

On the 23th day of the third lunar month, the Birthday of Tian Hou’s Bodhisattva is celebrated on May 2, 2021, and celebrates at 9:00 am on Sunday.

On the fourth day of the fourth lunar month, the Birthday of Manjushri Bodhisattva is celebrated on May 16, 2021, and celebrates at 9:00 am on Sunday.
