We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Group Accountant to join our team of finance professionals.

This role is a new functional role created within Electro Optic Systems (EOS) Finance team for supporting the Finance Group.

Your New Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Operations Manager; provide support on many levels as follows:

• Ensure the development of streamlined reporting process; including development of suite of robust and strategic reports and dashboards to the Chief Financial Officer and other key stakeholders.

• Assist in delivering strong professional finance services to EOS and its subsidiaries.

• Contribute to and provide financial and management reporting by ensuring team processes and deliverables are met.

• Backup capability from time to time to other team members.

This role will also expose the Group Accountant to the compliance aspects of the group.

About You

To be successful in this role; the following is required: 

• Tertiary qualifications in finance or related discipline

• Completed either CA, CPA or equivalent professional association.

• Demonstrated hands on experience in financial accounting within a commercial organisation as a team member and team lead.

• Knowledge of AIFRS and in preparing AIFRS financial reports.

• Previous experience in or the ability to quickly learn the EPICOR ERP system.

• Highly organized, professional and commercially focused.

• Strongly developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and deal with multiple tasks - strong time management skills are essential.

• Naturally you will have strong spreadsheet and report writing capabilities.

You must be eligible to obtain and hold an Australian Government Security Clearance which requires Australian Citizenship status and is relevant to your role.
