POSITION TITLE: Campaign Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Regional Marketing Director across all marketing campaign operations in China, including working with TA’s agencies to lead campaign strategy, brand assets, campaign execution, media planning, reporting, and budgeting; working with fellow marketing teams to develop and execute robust integrated communication campaigns for consumer campaigns, trade campaigns and business events campaigns.
This Campaign Manager needs to have strong interpersonal communication skill as it is the primary contact for global marketing campaigns, media, and local business development teams.
As Tourism Australia is a multinational organisation, this role may require the incumbent to be flexible in the hours of work and travel.

you will be responsible for
delivering on the following:
◦ Proactively identify and develop strategies on communication touchpoints which will benefit TA’s in market communication for consumer, trade and Business events.
◦ Manage the development and execution of marketing campaigns to reach our target customer with the right messages and offers, ensuring TA and partner assets are optimally leveraged.
◦ Gather and report market information with the support of the agencies
◦ Work with Regional BDM China to prepare an annual Marketing Activity Plan and Business Plan, including recommended budget requirements and manage execution
◦ Work with the Business Events team to prepare an annual Marketing Activity Plan and Business Plan, including recommended budget requirements and manage execution
◦ Monitor the effectiveness of the planned campaigns against agreed KPIs and timelines and provide regular reports on program results and progress.
◦ Under the One-Voice initiative, work with the State Tourism Offices (STOs) to maximise the influence of partnership activities undertaken via an integrated approach to the market
◦ Working with other marketing departments and agencies villages to build a robust integrated marketing approach
To succeed in this role,
your profile will demonstrate the following:
>> KNOWLEDGE
◦ Highly developed Chinese and English language proficiency (reading/writing and oral/aural)
◦ In-depth knowledge and understanding of local and the Australian travel industry, such as airlines, travel agencies and other related partners
◦ Working knowledge of MS Office
◦ Tertiary qualifications in Tourism, Transport, Public Relations, Marketing or other related field

>> EXPERIENCE
Compulsory – demonstrated experience in
◦ Solid experience in the marketing and communication field for at least 5 years
◦ Strong communication background
Proven administration skills in planning and coordination
◦ High capability to identify key issues, travel trends and presenting to team and partners
Desired, but not essential:
◦ Local tourism industry knowledge
◦ General financial management / Budget Management
