PAYROLL OFFICER

David Jones and Country Road Group are currently seeking experienced Payroll Officers to join our Human Resources team and support in processing end to end payroll across our brands. 

Please note, these roles will be 6 month contract roles.

In the role you will:

• Ensure retail and salaried employees are paid within legislative, award and enterprise agreement guidelines

• Administer employee/employer deductions, contributions and benefits

• Manage and maintain employee records

• Manage employee transfers

• Ensure all payroll components are costed to the relevant general ledger accounts and reconciled on a monthly basis with the timely elevation of reconciling items

• Ad-hoc Reporting as directed by Group Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Officer

• Other Ad-hoc duties as required/directed by Group Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Officer

• Maintain effective internal and external customers/user relationships within own area of responsibility in line with timeframe agreed with customer.

  
  

We're looking for that little bit extra, so join us if you have:

• Extensive experience in a high volume end to end Payroll Officer position, preferably within a retail environment

• Experience with Payglobal Payroll System

• Working knowledge of payroll practices and basic accounting principles

• Strong understanding of Retail Award and EBAs

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines

• Strong communication skills

• Customer service orientated

• High attention to detail

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
