Customer Service Specialist 

In this Specialist role at Bank of Melbourne you'll help our customers achieve their financial goals. You’ll be driven by innovation and:

  • Understand customers immediate and broader financial needs and proactively identify and provide tailor made solutions to match their needs

  • Retain and deepen customer relationships through quality needs based conversations to explore customers financial needs and goals

  • Proactively contact customers to set-up appointments, as well as assist those who walk into the branch

Customer Service Officer Hybrid Position 

This front line customer facing service and sales role is responsible to:

  • Offer customers a seamless service, including daily banking transactional needs, financial information and product knowledge

  • Proactively identify customer needs and promote and sell appropriate products and services tailored to suit customers financial goals

  • Refer customers to specialist bankers who can have quality needs based conversations to explore customers financial needs and goals

  • Undertake assigned sales and service activities to develop new and existing customer relationships including reaching out to existing customer base to provide financial health check

What you need to succeed:

You’re warm and friendly, and you love sharing knowledge:

  • You enjoy meeting people and building relationships with customers

  • You have 2+ years in retail or customer service experience, and you like helping people

  • You understand customers’ needs and enjoy connecting them with the right solutions

  • You have strong sales aptitude balanced with strong customer service ethos

  • You engage well with others and are passionate about providing an exemplary customer experience

  • You’re a team player who thinks quickly on your feet

  • Collaborate with colleagues to do what it takes to delight customers

  • Make it easy for our customers to do business with us by getting it right the first time and every time

  • Pr Required

Position Requirements:

  • Proven customer service experience and passion for sales delivery in a customer facing role

  • Demonstrated experience meeting and exceeding sales targets

  • Effective relationship management skills

  • A sense of curiosity to understand the local community and our customer’s needs

  • Confidence and capability to build relationships and offer the right solution

  • Business and financial acumen are considered an advantage
