Job Title:

Junior Network Engineer

Work Type: Full time, with initial 12-month fixed contract

Location: Melbourne CBD

Probation Period: First 4 months

Position Background
Our client, a start-up ISP, specialized in managed security firewall is developing its Service Delivery and Service Assurance capacity in its Melbourne office. The candidate will be working on client's site in Melbourne CBD office and report to client's manager.

Roles and Responsibilities

Client's internal IT support, including
a. Staff O365 A/C management
b. Support of server platform
Customer service provisioning support, including
a. On-site deployment of CPE
b. Assistance of CPE provisioning
Customer service assurance support, including
a. Sharing Level 1 help desk taks with other colleagues
b. Perform Level 2 support activities, such as preliminary diagnosis, Level 2 trouble shooting, triage and escalation to resolution parties
LAN devices troubleshooting and deployment

Candidate Characters

This is an ideal opportunity for an ICT graduate with 1-2 year relevant experience, who would like to develop career path in network administration area.

Travel to client's customer premise is expected and a clean VIC drive license is a MUST.

Selection Criteria

The following experience, knowledge and skill set are expected.

- Efficient communication skill in business environment

- Solid knowledge of Network technologies, including Ethernet, Fiber and Wi-Fi network.

- Understanding of layer 2 WAN circuit technologies

- Strong troubleshooting skills with good sense of O/S on both desktop and server ends.

- Knowledge of VMware and Cloud Computing is highly regarded
