Junior Office Administrator

Nexia Australia is a successful accounting firm, with offices throughout Australia and New Zealand, and links to Nexia International. Our Sydney Offices are based in the CBD, and host a total of 200 staff and directors. 


Due to our expansion to an additional office, and the growth of our firm, we are seeking a Junior Office Administrator to join our Front Of House team, which forms part of our Operations division. 


Office Operations

  • Action admin support emails and building service requests daily

  • Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies 

  • Sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing faxes, mail and deliveries

  • Cleaning of coffee machines and dishwashers daily

  • General office scanning, verifying, and filing

  • Action storage box requests and set up permanent storage files


Front of House

  • Set up of training rooms or staff café area for internal and external events/ training

  • Assist Client Relations Officers with reception, including:

  • Switchboard Management - answering the telephone efficiently and friendly and transferring calls to the appropriate person

  • Meeting and greeting all clients in professional and friendly manner, offering and making beverages.

  • Keeping reception area and client kitchen clean and tidy at all times

  • Maintaining all meeting room bookings and ensuring correct room set up for internal or external meetings


Requirements

While relevant experience will be highly regarded, it is not essential - this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to start and grow their career in office administration or office management.


To be successful in this role, the key skills and behaviours you will require to demonstrate include:

  • High level of service delivery and client care

  • Good verbal communication skills

  • Able to work effectively with different people, take instructions, and pitch in to a team environment

  • Computer and technology savvy

  • Proactive and solution oriented, with a pride in their own work


This is a full-time position based on 37.5 hours per week, however shifts will vary each week to accommodate the team requirements. Applicants must be available to work between the hours of 8.00am - 5.30pm, and assist from time to time outside of these hours for relevant client or staff events.
